I began my career as a Beauty Therapist over ten years ago. I studied in Kilkenny College of Beauty therapy, the South East’s longest established Beauty Therapy School. I then began my career working in a hotel spa in one of Wexford’s largest hotel.
I was always very creative and loved makeup so I merged both my love of art and makeup together, put together a portfolio and was accepted into the makeup course in IADT, the most prestigious special effects and makeup course of its kind in Europe. I moved to Dublin and attended the Art College for two years where I learned all the trade secrets.
Here I studied everything from Film History to sculpture and even wig-making, I qualified in 2007 with a Higher Certificate in Arts in Makeup for film, television and theatre.
After graduating I worked as a freelance makeup artist, I travelled nationwide basing myself in Dublin. I worked part time in the cosmetics department in Brown Thomas where I became involved in the retail aspect of makeup. I had the great opportunity to work with some of the best makeup lines in the industry including, Bobbi Brown, Stila Cosmetics, Dior, Lancome and MAC.
I devoted the rest of my time to Weddings and behind the scenes at theatre productions and fashion shows where I had the pleasure of working on many of Ireland’s top models and celebrities including the gorgeous Xpose girls.
I came home to Wexford and returned to the salon industry as a beauty therapist and specialised in Bridal Makeup.
I am available for home visits and I have a studio in Wexford town where I offer both half day and full day makeovers packages.
I love being able to create my client’s visions and my greatest reward comes from seeing the happiness that my work brings to them.
